No, absolutely not! Our goal is to make you feel beautiful and confident after your treatment. You will walk away IN LOVE with your tan and skin tone. No unnatural colors.

In the shower: shave legs, underarms, etc. and exfoliate the skin LAST with an exfoliating glove, mitt or clean washcloth. AVOID DOVE SOAP/WASH or bar soaps and moisturizing scrubs as some may leave residue which interferes with the development of tanning solutions.

DO NOT apply deodorant, lotions, or perfumed products after your shower. Any Mani/Pedi's, Hair or Waxing appointments must be done 24 hours BEFORE your Spray Tan.

You may wear an old, dark swimsuit, undergarments or go nude during your session. Be assured that we are professionals and will make every effort to accommodate your needs and make you as comfortable as possible whatever you choose to wear. Wear lip balm to your appointment.

NOTE: Male clients must wear shorts and/or underwear.

Wear dark, LOOSE clothing and sandals after your spray tan. Tight or restrictive clothing will damage your developing tan.

DO NOT GET WET! Do not workout, sweat, swim, go in the rain, cry, etc. during the time your tan is setting. (Ask about our convenient 2-4 hour rinse Rapid tans!)

First shower is RINSE WITH WATER ONLY!

MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE! The key to a long lasting spray tan is to keep your skin hydrated all of the time.

Only use Body Wash/soap only where "needed" on your body. Most body washes and soap can shorten the life of your tan.

Ask us about spray tan safe body washes and lotions.

Use a spray tan safe body lotion! Also, to keep your spray tan looking fresh for days longer, use a Tan Extender after the third day your spray tan was applied. 

Wear something loose afterwards and preferably dark color. Tight clothes will ruin the spray tan! Some acceptable clothes are:
• Sundress
• Loose sweat pants
• Loose t shirt or tank top
• Loose shorts
• Flip flops

Unacceptable clothes are:
• Yoga Pants
• Jeans
• Tight spandex tops or bottoms
• Clothes with elastic waist bands
• Socks
• Sneakers
• Closed shoes or boots

To ensure you get the best tan possible, remember these steps:

1. Do not get wet, sweat or work out during the hours that your tan is setting to ensure that the tan is given enough time to properly develop. 8-12 hours for our Traditional Tans and 1-4 hours for our Rapid tans.
2. For your first shower: RINSE ONLY! Soaps and shampoos can lessen the quality of your spray tan.
3. MOISTURIZE! A spray tan's worst enemy is dry skin: a spray tan's best friend if a fantastic moisturizer with DHA infused into the formula. By using moisturizers on a daily basis, your skin will stay soft, supple, and most importantly tanned for days longer!

Appointment will take 30 minutes (consultation, changing of clothes and application).

HOWEVER, please be prepared to stay dry for at least 3-4 hours after your appointment. No sweating, washing hands, crying, or getting wet from rain in any way for the next 3-4 hours.

If it is raining, PLEASE prepare to protect your skin from the rain with an umbrella, long sleeves and long pants.

The typical spray tan will last 10-12 days with proper care and upkeep.  It is important to follow the BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER YOUR SPRAY TAN instructions for best results.

We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee of 50% the price of your scheduled appointment. All NO-SHOWS will be charged 100% the price of your scheduled appointment(s).

Any manicures, pedicures, waxing and/or hair appointments should be done at least 24 hours before your spray tan application.

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your spray tan. If for some reason you are not, please let us know within 48 hours.

99% of unsatisfactory issues are due to improper pre/post tan care. Please read our BEFORE, DURING, AFTER MY SPRAY TAN instructions to ensure the best results.

The active ingredient is DHA (dihydroxyacetone) and is approved by the FDA for external use. It is the active ingredient in all self-tanners.

Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is derived from sugar beets or cane sugar and is a key active ingredient for natural self-tanners. The skin-browning effect is the result of a nontoxic chemical reaction between DHA and the amino acids which are part of the keratinous layer of the skin’s surface, much like the browning effect in food caramelization. The resulting color is called melanoidins, similar in color to the melanins our bodies produce naturally when exposed to UV rays.

DHA creates a more naturally-looking tan, and fades more evenly, than chemical tanners and is now considered the most effective sunless tanning ingredient. It is also considered the safest form of tanning over chemically-derived self-tanners and sun exposure. The tan will fade gradually over the course of 3-10 days. (Wiki)

You will see instant color after your appointment due to the cosmetic bronzer however the actual tan takes 24 hours to fully develop.

Once you get sprayed, you cannot sweat or get wet until your recommended rinse time (at least 2-4 hours for our Rapid Tans or 8-12 hours for our Custom Tan) or you risk an uneven result of your spray tan!

No, do NOT use any commercial bar soaps prior to the session and afterwards. Especially Dove soap. Dove  will cause the tan to fade and become patchy. Most times when a client has an issue it is the result of using Dove soap.

Also refrain from any exfoliating soaps or body washes. Use a gentle body gel made for spray tanning or free of SLS and alcohols.
